What is chiropractic?

What makes chiropractic the world’s most evidence-based healthcare profession in the area of spinal health, spine-related functional ability, and spine-related quality of life is the unique focus on the importance of, and relationship among, segmental spinal motion, alignment, neurology, spinal health, and overall health.

What makes chiropractors so uniquely qualified as safe and effective practitioners are their years of scientific education and clinical training regarding the identification and correction of areas of segmental spinal dysfunction (vertebral subluxation complex) and related neurological and biomechanical functional losses as well as the importance of overall spinal health, lifestyle, and general wellness and prevention.

According to the scientific literature and every independent judicial and/or formal government inquiry ever conducted (New Zealand, Australia, Canada, U.S.A., U.K., Sweden), no other profession is as qualified, as well trained, as evidence-based, or as safe when it comes to restoring and maintaining spinal health, spine-related functional ability, and spine-related quality of life.

When to consider chiropractic care

Painful joint and back problems can be caused by work, accidents, sports injuries, household chores, and even the stress of daily living.

Chiropractic care may help if you are experiencing aching joints or muscle pain that is affecting your ability to get through the day or preventing you from doing your favourite activities. It may also help maintain a healthy spine and joint function, even if you do not have painful symptoms.

Many people think to see a chiropractor only when something has gone wrong, or when they can no longer tolerate their pain symptoms. Chiropractic may in fact help prevent something from going wrong in the first place.

In addition to joint or muscle pain and back pain, you may wish to consider chiropractic for headache relief, if your job requires you to sit for long periods of time, the soles of your shoes wear out differently, limited range of motion, you were involved in an accident, sharp, shooting pain in your legs, or you want to live a more health-conscious life.

Treatment and results will differ from person to person.

Why people see us

Chiropractic is a safe, hands-on, drug-free, cost-effective approach to spinal healthcare and wellness. Chiropractors play an important role in the spinal healthcare of everyday Australians by using a variety of non-surgical techniques, such as specific spinal adjustments, manual therapy, and low-force intervention.

Established by Sarah Worthington in 2011, Caring Hands Chiropractic focuses on improving quality of life through chiropractic care, exercise, good nutrition, and a balanced mind.

Our chiropractors are trained to recommend exercises to treat and rehabilitate health conditions related to the bones, muscles, and joints, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle advice.

The clinic has approachable, supportive and skilled chiropractors ready to listen and assist those wanting holistic chiropractic care.

Clinic hours are by appointment only, Monday to Friday (closed public holidays) with extended hours ranging from 9am to 7pm.
